Sometimes life can be hard
The times you knew may end up leaving you
Quickly and swiftly
Friends come and go
People you wish you could know a little better hardly talk
You may refuse to look at your own faults
And focus on others'
Taking others for granted
Eventually it seems as though you have lost your chance
BUT!!! It may not be too late
Be kind, respectful, and true
Lies are told in any relationship
Some big some small
Remember for every lie there should be much more truth
Life has many mysteries
You may wish for so much more
Only to receive less
You may harden your heart
Because something bad happened
Sometimes life can be hard
Try to never lose faith
Many experiences await
Do not throw your life away
For love may pass you by
Be ready to compromise
To keep friendships from demise
Let these words in your heart
For thou hath experienced much
thou hath experienced little
Be it Deity or not
Someone will guide you
In one way, shape or form
Open your heart
Open your mind
Sometimes life is hard
Never sacrifice Love for anything
For it will stone your soul
Remember you are not alone
With these words
I pass my knowledge
Onto thee

To be honest

This pain is like dumping water into empty lungs and trying to have faith that it is air. Painting the Mona Lisa in the dark, blindfolded, seems more feasible. This mind shakes at the soft, pattering quiet that whispers nothing is worth being happy: rears its head on the best days. "Hopeless" is the vicious heartbeat mantra -tied to my translucent pulse. Choking on droplets and begging the water to birth oxygen. Slowly drowning, praying the whole damn ocean will swallow me if it's not going to let go.

dear sarah, yesterday I tried to swallow the sun. it burned me up on the inside until even my skin was hot to the touch, and I thought of you.
